OnLive responds to beta test leaks...

Postby power666 » Sun Jan 24, 2010 11:03 pm

OnLive's official blog has a post responding to the PC Perspective leak about the service. The content was pretty predictable: latency, latency, latency. They're blaming the poor reception on the user being outside of their beta coverage area.

Of course that doesn't stop beta users complaining inside the coverage area.

No surprises here, and nothing new that we weren't expecting. I like how OnLive is responding with the "speed of light" excuse - if the beta testers were all handpicked for location, why are there still people coming forth with stories of problems? Trolling? Possible I suppose, but it's not like such a situation is unlikely either.

I had foreseen this since the beginning as a problem.

This kind of technology won't fit a broad audience for another 15 years.
